Traditional tricycles offer unique touch to weddings

By Emma Knights – Archant.

A traditional tricycle offering champagne and strawberries to guests could be one of the perfect finishing touches to a bride and groom’s special day – and couples soon to tie the knot can find out about this and more at the EDP Wedding Show.  The two day show – the biggest wedding event in the region is at the Norfolk Showground in Costessey.

More than 140 exhibitors will be at the event offering inspiration and advice on every aspect of planning the perfect wedding.  Amoung them will be Wendling based company Tricycle Temptations which offers couples the chance to have treats, such as strawberries and cream, champagne, and Pimm’s served to guest from charming Pashley vintage tricycles.

Paul Suffling, who runs Tricycle Temptations with his wife Jaclyn, will be at the show with two of his seven-strong fleet of tricycles. “This is our first EDP Wedding Show.  It looks like a really good show,” he said.
“It is an ideal way for people to see everything about planning a wedding in one location.  It is a day out and a brilliant way to get ideas and inspiration.”

About Tricycle Temptations, he said: “We can serve almost any refreshments, including ice-cream, Pimm’s, Champagne and Strawberries and Cream, from our tricycles either outside the church or at the reception.  We are going to be bringing two of our tricycles to the wedding show – if you are looking for something a little bit different for your wedding then come and see us at the show!”

The EDP Wedding Show brings the best in the area to the show, from cake makers and florists to wedding planners, venue hosts, jewellers, photographers, beauty experts, toast masters and caterers.  Specialists will also be on hand to help with choosing a wedding dress, marquee, music, menswear, honeymoon, entertainers, cars, stationery and those dozens of wedding extras from favours to fireworks.

There will also be a spectacular catwalk show by The Team at Catwalkers.  The fashion show will display all the latest wedding fashions and classic designs, and will be performed four times on each of the two days.

La Belle Angele, Pure Brides, Slaters Menswear and Jarrold will all be showcasing some of their wedding collections, and the fashion show will include bridal wear, menswear, lingerie, mother of the bride clothes and more.

The EDP Wedding Show is at the Norfolk Showground from 10am until 5pm.
